MEET THE ADVISOR
Melisa Bueno-Vega is a fractional operations partner who steps into messy organizations, identifies the friction, and builds practical systems that teams can actually use. With more than a decade of experience across operations, project management, customer success, hospitality technology, government contracting, and consulting, she brings a calm, get-it-done approach to complex work.
Her specialty is connecting operational efficiency with human behavior. Rather than forcing every employee into the same rigid workflow, Melisa learns how the team communicates, where information breaks down, and what people are naturally inclined to do. She then designs the CRM structure, SOPs, onboarding maps, file systems, and project rhythms around that reality.
Melisa is equally comfortable mapping a global Zoho One implementation, documenting internal operations for a mission-driven firm, or helping a first-time creator launch an authentic podcast. Her goal is always the same: create a functional launch point, transfer ownership to the team, and leave the organization stronger—not dependent.
I build the systems, give the team a launch point, and let them take it from there.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE
HUMAN-CENTERED OPERATIONS
Designs practical operating systems around how people naturally communicate, decide, and execute.
CRM & SYSTEMS INTEGRATION
Builds connected technology environments that reduce duplication and support real team behavior.
SOP & WORKFLOW DESIGN
Converts tribal knowledge and scattered habits into clear, repeatable ways of working.
PODCAST & MEDIA LAUNCH
Helps first-time creators build authentic shows with practical tools, structure, and support.
IMPACT INITIATIVES
Melisa turns scattered tools, undocumented habits, and team friction into a practical operating foundation. She begins with how people actually work, then builds the CRM structure, workflows, SOPs, and communication systems that make execution easier. The result is not permanent consultant dependence—it is a clear launch point the team understands, can maintain, and is equipped to run.
TACTICAL TIMING
Your CRM requires people to enter the same information in multiple places.
A growing team is relying on memory, inboxes, and individual workarounds.
A major technology project is expanding without clear executive alignment.
New employees cannot find the files, access, or instructions they need.
The business has strong people and tools—but no dependable operating rhythm.
RECENT RESULTS
THE SITUATION
A specialized global services company relied on a core team of roughly 50 employees plus outsourced workers and third-party sales representatives across multiple continents. Its disconnected processes and data systems created duplication, inconsistency, and limited visibility as the organization prepared to scale.
THE WORK
Melisa mapped the company’s real workflows, clarified how information should move between teams, and designed an integrated Zoho One environment around actual user behavior. She connected lead, contact, account, and deal data to reduce re-entry, documented the new processes, coordinated implementation stakeholders, and helped negotiate the enterprise software agreement.
The organization gained a scalable operating foundation for approximately 50 core employees and a broader international network spanning Canada, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The negotiated software agreement also reduced the Zoho One seat cost by 30%, while the redesigned workflows reduced duplicate entry and created a clearer path from lead through account and deal management.

BEHIND THE BIO
Starting in hospitality and physically installing restaurant point-of-sale systems shaped everything that followed. I learned early that technology only works when the people using it understand it and believe it serves them. That experience taught me to listen, observe natural behavior, and build practical systems around the actual team—not an idealized workflow created in a vacuum.
Central Florida became home through both personal and professional transitions. What keeps me connected is the diversity of people building businesses here—from mission-driven organizations to independent creators and highly specialized companies. I value communities where people share knowledge, make introductions, and collaborate across industries, which is why the Daytona Beach Entrepreneurial Center feels aligned with how I naturally work.
They discover that I am both highly relational and extremely execution-focused. I will take the time to understand how people naturally work, but I am also direct, accountable, and comfortable getting my hands dirty. I am not there to offer opinions from the sidelines. I build the framework, solve the friction, document what matters, and make sure the team can confidently carry it forward.
Outside of work, authentic conversation, inclusive storytelling, and creating spaces where people feel understood matter deeply to me. Those values influence how I advise and collaborate: I listen for what is not being said, look for the hidden connections between people, and build systems that support the humans doing the work—not just the process on paper.
